AB 2956 represents victory for brokers and agents in a war to radically change California law to impose ruinous “de facto agency” liability on brokers and their insurers. The bill clarifies the distinction between brokers and agents, and provides a simple set of disclosure tools that will leave consumers better informed and brokers better protected from unfair legal attack. This webinar will help brokers and understand what is required of them before the measure goes into effect Jan. 1, 2009.
